Neighbors were stunned Thursday morning in Florida when a mother out for a walk with her dog and 6-month-old son suffered a fractured skull, allegedly due to a hit-and-run that was at least in part caught on video. The Hyundai SUV driver, a woman wearing a blue vest who neighbors said may have been delivering Amazon packages, appeared to pick the baby boy up off of the street and put him back in the stroller she set upright, then left the carriage in the road inside a gated community as she walked away.
As a result, 45-year-old Sarahy Parra-Ovalles was hit the next day with a criminal case for allegedly leaving the scene of a crash that caused serious bodily injury, according to Miami-Dade County court records reviewed by Law&Crime.

Neither police officials nor Amazon have as of Saturday confirmed whether the suspect was working a package delivery beat, but at least one neighbor-witness to the Aventura Isles collision and the immediate aftermath told WSVN “[s]he kept delivering the packages for Amazon. So bad.”
The local Fox affiliate aired video, not of the collision itself but snippets from a neighbor’s camera that showed a stroller on its side near a street corner and crosswalk, and a crying baby could be heard. The woman wearing the blue vest approached the stroller, picked it up, put the crying but not seriously injured baby back in, and then walked away.
Meanwhile, the baby’s mother, who a neighbor described as having been “dragged, like, on top on the car,” was injured with a skull fracture and brain bleed nearby, and was allegedly given no help by the suspect, WPLG reported .
Instead, WSVN reported, neighboring nurse Cassie jumped in to help. She said the baby had a “bump on his head” and that camera footage showed the accused hit-and-run driver “made a sharp left” before the collision.
Another neighbor claimed that Parra-Ovalles was speeding “for sure.”
Jail records say she was booked on Friday night.
Under Florida law , a driver “involved in a crash occurring on public or private property which results in serious bodily injury to a person” commits a felony if they do not “immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the crash” and “remain at the scene of the crash until” they satisfy their “[d]uty to give information and render aid.”
AMAZON should be held accountable as well. The Amazon Drivers are put on a very strict concise timeline with multiple Tracking Devices in the Vehicle & on the Driver’s body. This Driver’s are put on time constraints that simplify are not realistic. However there is no excuse for this Driver’s behavior after the Accident occurred, she should not have left the scene & she should have called Police & Paramedics.

You hit a baby and left ? That's a whole nother level of evil. Who would do something like this and not get the mother and baby help ? sick.
