Fight between coach, umpire ruins Little League game in Wilson
The game was between two 12-and-under teams, Bull City Little League and Cherryville, in a state championship tournament at Wilson's Gillette Baseball Complex. During the top of the fifth inning, video shows a Cherryville coach approach the home plate umpire along the third base line. The umpire, Robby Beamon, can be heard saying that the coach should be ejected from the game and leave the field for using profanity.

Gastonia officers rescue puppy that was stabbed during domestic dispute
GASTONIA, N.C. — A German shepherd puppy that was stabbed during a domestic dispute is recovered and living in her forever home, Gastonia Police said. Gastonia officers responded to a domestic situation at a home on June 9. When officers arrived, they found 2-month-old Clementine suffering from a stab wound. The German shepherd was stabbed in the back during the incident, police said.
