Buckle up, college basketball fans. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

March Madness is officially here. The 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament bracket was unveiled on Sunday, and ever since then fans and experts alike are making their predictions.

Longtime ESPN bracketology insider Joe Lunardi is predicting a stunning first-round upset in this year's March Madness tournament.

Lunardi thinks the No. 13 seed Samford Bulldogs will shock the nation by upsetting No. 4 seed Kansas.

"The Jayhawks are almost always a threat to win it all, especially under two-time national championship Coach Self," Lunardi said, via ESPN . "But this year doesn't look like one of those years. The surprising lack of bench production -- they got 11.9 PPG from nonstarters (336th in Division I) during the regular season -- will cause the Jayhawks' season to end before the promised land. Add in the uncertainty surrounding their two stars, and we're picking Samford to end it quickly."

Samford beating Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks would be one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history. They call it "March Madness" for a reason, though. Anything can happen.

Kansas is a 7.5-point favorite over Samford, according to most major sportsbooks.
