    Jason Bean taken No. 1 overall in UFL College Draft

    LAWRENCE, Kan. ( KSNT ) – Former Kansas quarterback Jason Bean has a big decision to make.

    The 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl MVP was drafted No. 1 overall in the UFL College Draft by the Memphis Showboats on Wednesday.

    Bean signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL Draft. He has the opportunity to chug along in the NFL or choose to pursue his professional career with Memphis.

    The UFL College Draft was open to players who were eligible but not selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

    After transferring from North Texas, Bean played in 35 games for the Jayhawks with 23 starts. He finished with 4,662 passing yards and 38 passing touchdowns, to go along with 904 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
