KU Athletics announces student transportation plan for 2024 football season

KU Athletics revealed details for a student bus program that will allow Jayhawks students to travel freely to and from football games Kansas plays in 2024 in Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri. KU is playing its games away from Lawrence due to renovations ongoing at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. And according to a KU release, these efforts will be “in conjunction with KU Parking and Transportation, Student Union Activities, First Student bus company and Event Transport Solutions” so students can make it to games at Children’s Mercy Park and Arrowhead Stadium.

“With the continued momentum and trajectory for Kansas Football, it is critical that we create the very best homefield advantage this fall in Kansas City,” Travis Goff, Kansas’ director of athletics, said in a KU release. “Over the past couple of seasons, our students have risen to the occasion and their attendance and passion will make an even greater difference this fall. This well thought out and robust busing program provides a safe and efficient option for students to attend our games in full force. We are challenging our student body to make a strong statement of support while also enjoying a one-of-a-kind chance to cheer on their Jayhawks in two iconic Kansas City venues.”
