‘Superman’ Crew Member Dies Of Apparent Suicide Near Atlanta Set
A crew member working on a Superman movie shoot at Trilith Studios near Atlanta died by an apparent suicide on Wednesday. Fayetteville Police responded to a report of an unconscious adult contractor in a car at the studio lot and found the deceased female Teamster member with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No foul play is suspected, and the incident is not linked to ongoing studio projects. The tragedy occurred during production of the Superman film starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. This marks the first standalone Superman project in over a decade and explores the hero reconciling his alien heritage with his human upbringing. Warner Bros. and DC Comics representatives have not provided direct comments on the incident. (THR)
Man sentenced to 123 years for Bloomington murder
BLOOMINGTON – A man was sentenced to more than 100 years in prison on Monday for the death of Jaleel Johnson in Oct. 2020. According to McLean County Circuit Court records, Malcolm J. Johnson, 31, was sentenced to serve 123 years in prison. That breaks down to 75 years for murder, 45 years for attempted murder and three years for obstructing justice.
