Boil water advisory issued for city of Caney
CANEY, Kan. (KOAM) - The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued a boil water advisory for the City of Caney public water supply system in Montgomery County, effective July 26. The advisory will remain in place until conditions that risk bacterial contamination are resolved.
Kansas man arrested in connection to murder of 63-year-old man
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. — Ryan McCullough, 41, of Neodesha, Kansas, was arrested for second-degree murder following an altercation on May 5 with 63-year-old David Wintjen from Coffeyville who died a few days later.

Springfield city manager withdraws from job search in Manhattan, Kansas
After being named one of four finalists for a city manager job in Manhattan, Kansas, Springfield City Manager Jason Gage has withdrawn his candidacy. Gage has worked for the city of Springfield for six years. Gage was hired in 2018 after working in Salina, Kansas, for 18 years also as city manager. HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation (HRMF) announces its launch of a housing program that encourages providers to live in the community they serve. At the end of HRMF’s fiscal year, a budget of $750,000 was solidified to support this new program and initiative, which focuses on a three-year commitment from the provider in exchange for a housing incentive to purchase a home in Reno County.
