Recently hired Pine River principal resigns
LEROY — With the new school year starting in roughly a month, Pine River Area Schools is scrambling to fill an administration vacancy. Last month, the district’s board of education voted to hire Jacob Murray as its new high school principal. Murray’s hire was necessary due to former high school principal Brent Ruppert retiring. Murray’s background included four years of experience as a high school assistant principal at Cheboygan High School. He also had two years of experience as a K-12 assistant principal and 10 years as an English teacher and coach.
