    LS-H cross country competes in New Prague Invitational

    Tuesday evening, the Le Sueur-Henderson cross country team traveled to New Prague to compete in an invitational hosted by the trojans featuring runners from 12 schools. The Giants boys team claimed sixth place with 163 points while the girls finished ninth in the meet with a score of 194.

    The boys squad was led by Owen Greisen who claimed 13th with a time of 17:42.8 followed by Colton Wilson with a time of 19:57.6. Hunter Libra (20:37.3), Henry Tuck (20:39.8) and Vance Vanden Einde (21:07.9) rounded out the team scorers while Liam Benson (21:22.7) and Tyler Bushway (21:24.9) also ran in the varsity race.

    For the girls team, Norah Renstom led the way, claiming 12th with a time of 20:41.8 while Ellen Renstrom earned 34th with a time of 22:51.1. Caylee O’Day (26:16.5), Jemma Maxwell (28:18.6) and Callie Greisen (28:53.7) rounded out the team scoring with Lauren Stueber (29:29.4) also competing in the varsity race.

    The Giants are scheduled to return to action Tuesday, Oct. 1, when they host an Invitational of their own at the Ney Nature Center. Races are scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m.
