    TCU runners compete in New Prague Invite

    Tuesday evening, the Tri-City United cross country team traveled to New Prague to compete in an invitational that featured runners from 12 different schools competing. With 16 of the Titan’s 20 runners posting PR or season best times, the Titan girls claimed sixth as a team with the boys finishing seventh.

    The girls team was led by Yasmin Ruiz who tied the school’s second-best time with a mark of 20:05.9 to claim sixth overall followed by Kaylee Gogerty finishing 32nd with a time of 22:27.5. Mara Livingston (22:56.1), Megan Marek (24:05.8) and Taylor Engel (25:03.6) completed the team scoring for the girls team.

    The boys were led by Grant Fitterer who claimed 16th with a time of 17:53.2 followed by Gabriel Coryell who earned 39th with a time of 20:05.5. Peter Robrahn (20:20.5), Patrick Duchene (21:09.6) and Soren McNamara (21:28.6) rounded out the team scorers while Graysen Moon (21:30.5) and Isaak Worm (22:13.7) also competed for the varsity squad.

    The Titan cross country team is scheduled to return to action Thursday, Oct. 3, when they travel to Waseca Lakeside Golf Course to compete in an invitational hosted by the Bluejays.
