    Le Sueur County 4-H'ers showcase Livestock and General Exhibits at 2024 State Fair

    Minnesota 4-H’ers from 87 counties arrived with over 2,612 animals at the 2024 “Great Minnesota Get-Together” for this year’s 4-H livestock encampment, which was held Wednesday, Aug. 21st through Sunday, Aug. 25.

    The number of livestock exhibits over the weekend included: Beef: 572 exhibits; Dairy: 422 exhibits; Goats: 342 exhibits; Poultry: 231 exhibits; Rabbits: 272 exhibits; Sheep: 294 exhibits; Swine: 403 exhibits; Llama: 76 exhibits.

    Le Sueur County had 35 youth exhibiting livestock projects at the State Fair. Among them included:

    GENERAL EXHIBITS

    4-H youth from across Minnesota again showcased their learning in the 4-H Building at the Minnesota State Fair. Over 155 demonstrations were delivered and over 1,900 general exhibits were on display. In a continuation of the virtual state showcase format developed in 2020, over 100 of the general exhibits were judged virtually this year.

    Le Sueur County had 21 youth participating. Among them included:
