Branson cheerleaders get pro help for next season
The cheerleading squad at Branson High School received professional training ahead of the upcoming season thanks to a choreographer professional cheerleader from Kansas City. Morgan Smith, owner of Moves by Morgs Choreography, worked with the competition squad to help them ready for the upcoming season starting in September.

Branson monthly tax reports show mixed bag
The monthly tax reports for Branson showed a mixed bag for July, with a major decrease in sales tax offset by a large jump in tourism tax revenue. The city’s 1% sales tax revenue for July was $1,159,762, a 5.9% decrease from July 2023, and only $30,000 more than the city’s revenue for July 2022. The dip dropped the city’s pace in sales tax revenue from 6.3% over 2023’s totals for June, to 4.4% for July. In 2024, the city’s total sales tax revenue to date is $8,226,986, which is a record amount for a year-to-date total through July.
