    Buchanan man arrested for restaurant property theft

    BUCHANAN — A Buchanan man who stole property from a local restaurant was arrested Tuesday, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

    The BCSO investigated the theft of property from the restaurant Fifteen-Two-Twelve, 5212 N. Redbud Trl., Buchanan. With the assistance of the Michigan State Police Southwest Enforcement Team, the property was recovered at a residence in Buchanan Township. A 44-year-old Buchanan resident, James Bouma II was arrested and lodged at Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Jail on criminal charges related to the theft of property.

    He was arraigned Tuesday and has since bonded out of the Berrien County Jail.
