EPIC Church KC considers sale as former pastor denies allegations
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The leaders of an Independence church work to sell property as the church’s former pastor denies multiple allegations against him. The board of directors at EPIC Church KC announced another church is interested in buying its current home off Route 291 in Independence. The board said it is also working to sell the church’s parsonage as soon as possible, according to an email that went to members of EPIC Church KC Thursday afternoon.

A Pettis County man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing two minor children. Marlon Lange, of Green Ridge, pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of third-degree child molestation. Woman killed, juvenile injured after being hit by car in Phelps County
ST JAMES, Mo. — A pedestrian was killed and another was hospitalized after being struck while crossing the highway in St. James. According to a post from the St. James Police Department, a 31-year-old woman and a juvenile were crossing the roadway at about 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of North Jefferson Street and State Highway B, located just off of Interstate 44. Police did not share the exact age of the juvenile.
