Fort Thomas to celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday with a magical event
The city of Fort Thomas will celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday on Wednesday, July 31, starting at 3 p.m. at the Fort Thomas Mess Hall. The celebration of the popular fictional character’s birthday will feature a photo booth, a Hogwarts house ‘sorting’ ceremony, Harry Potter trivia, birthday cake/ food trucks, live animals and reptiles and the showing of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in the Tower Park Amphitheatre at dusk.

4 face charges after McCracken County drug investigations
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Four people face charges after drug investigations in McCracken County. McCracken County Sheriff’s detectives stopped a vehicle on South 6th Street in Paducah on July 16. During the roadside investigation detectives say they found small quantities of methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Three Charged With Drug Possession In Trigg County
Two women and one man were charged with drug possession after they were found sleeping in a vehicle on Main Street in Cadiz Saturday morning. Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say 26-year-old Sarah Dunn of Gracey was found sleeping in the driver seat and gave law enforcement consent to search the vehicle.

One main low-pressure system stalls out over the Central Plains, keeping the severe threat reaching from the Canadian border and down into the southeast. The severe threat will continue through tonight and into Wednesday morning as the front lingers across the region. The SPC has issued an enhanced risk (level 3 out of 5). Hot temperatures have provided plenty of instability to help fuel storms that develop at any point in the day. All severe modes will be possible and any storms that develop can bring damaging winds, large hail, and even tornadoes (see above). More severe storms are expected to mix in later in the day.
