Lydian arrested in Saturday shooting
Joseph Lydian is charged with attempted murder and first-degree wanton endangerment following a Saturday afternoon shooting on Boston Road. Nelson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a verbal dispute in the 5200 block of Boston Road around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. While en route to the call, deputies were advised shots had been fired. When arriving on the scene, Ashe Lydian of Bardstown, 41, was found shot. In a press release from the NCSO, they said deputies performed life-saving measures on Ashe. The 41-year-old was transported to the University of Louisville hospital via helicopter.
Nelson County woman arrested, charged with DUI after fatal crash
SPENCER COUNTY, Ky. — A Nelson County woman is facing charges after she was accused of killing a Louisville man in a crash Sunday night. At about 5 p.m., Kentucky State Police troopers responded to a collision on U.S. 150 and Old Louisville Road in Spencer County, according to a KSP news release.
Lebanon man arrested in Franklin County
A Lebanon man is in the Franklin County Regional Jail after leading deputies on a chase involving kayaks. According to a story in the Frankfort State-Journal, Austin Claude Cooper, 22, of Lebanon, is accused of stealing a kayak at knifepoint in Peaks Mill on July 11. Frankfort police alerted deputies and detectives that a male had been observed driving recklessly and fleeing toward the Peaks Mills area. When law enforcement arrived, they located the vehicle, but the driver had fled on foot.
$60K in stolen property recovered in Harrodsburg

Kaintuck Band brings traditional bluegrass to Summer Concert Series
Kaintuck Band will be the featured group at this week’s presentation of the Edward Jones Summer Concert Series, co-sponsored by the Stephen Foster Music Club and the Bardstown Parks & Recreation Department.
