    Police: One person killed in Lebanon city motorcycle accident Sunday

    Lebanon City Police Department officials said one person has died after a fatal motorcycle accident at the intersection of Mifflin Street and Hanover Street Sunday.

    On At 8:30 p.m. July 14, 2024, police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV. Upon arrival, officers located a motorcyclist who was critically injured.

    "Police assisted ambulance personnel in rendering aid to the motorcycle operator," officers said in a release. "The motorcycle operator, identified as Alfredo Pizarro-Franco, 39, was transported to the Hershey Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased."

    The motorcyclist was traveling the wrong way on Hanover St. and failed to stop at the intersection of Mifflin Street. Police said Pizarro-Franco struck the driver's side door of the SUV.

    Police said conducted an investigation that included speaking with parties involved, obtaining witness statements, and viewing video of the accident.

    The operator of the SUV was determined to have no contributing factor and was not injured.
