    OBITUARY: Guy R. Mowry

    Guy R. Mowry, beloved husband, devoted father, cherished son and brother, passed away on July 10, 2024 at the age of 63.

    Guy was a man whose life was marked by love, laughter, and a passion for adventure. Born in Mansfield, OH, Guy grew up with an innate love for the water. His passion for boating began early and became a lifelong source of joy and relaxation. His weekends were often spent at his happy place “the island”.

    He was also a dedicated Vanderbilt football fan. His competitive spirit and love for the game made for many laughs and wild bets. Guy also had a passion for being a businessman, from his beginnings at Nashville Magazine to a top insurance broker with Healthmarkets Insurance. Above all, Guy was a devoted family man. His marriage to his beloved wife, Vickie, was a testament to enduring love and partnership.

    Guy will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his loving wife Vickie, daughter Taleaha (Milton) Mowry, grandchildren Audrey Mowry, Matthew Boyd, Isabella Boyd, and Alexander Boyd, mother Rosemary Mowry, sister Amy (Joabe) Andrade, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

    He is preceded in death by his father Eugene (Gene) Mowry.

    The family will be receiving friends and family at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 4-8 p.m.
