The study showed that Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and Wilkes-Barre all felt at least 8 degrees hotter, with some regions of the cities feeling up to 13 degrees hotter.

Petry came from the Montreal Canadiens but was later part of a multi-team deal, with the Penguins agreeing to retain part of his salary for two seasons. Johnson, signed in 2018, was eventually waived and bought out, but Pittsburgh still owes him around $1.8 million over the next two years.
