Pennsylvania gaming regulator fines casino for taking bets by phone
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has issued a $100,000 fine to Stadium Casino. US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved a $100,000 consent agreement presented by the board’s Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC) against Stadium Casino, operator of Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, for taking sports wagers by phone. Live! Casino Sportsbook accepted 15 wagers totalling $287,421 over an eight-day period from a patron who was not present in the casino.
Route 422 reopens after tractor-trailer crash today
LOWER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A section of Route 422 has reopened after a fatal head-on tractor-trailer crash, officials say.The closure was between the Audubon/Trooper Road and the Oaks exits.NEXT Traffic cameras showed the tractor-trailer and another vehicle involved in the crash.Chopper 3 flew over the crash scene and a tractor-trailer could be seen on the grass median along with several emergency vehicles.According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred when a tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes crossed the median, hitting at least one vehicle on the eastbound side. The vehicle hit by the truck was sent down a grass embankment, and its driver was reported dead at the scene.Another tractor-trailer incident on I-95 in Philadelphia also caused delays for drivers in the region ahead of the peak morning commute hours.
