Rock The River Fun Run Day 1—Family Time
Loud as it was, the sound of rain pounding the roof yesterday at Manhattan Harbor Marina in Dayton, Ky, wasn’t enough to drown out the voices of 150-plus friends glad to see each other. And the downpour, which delayed the start of the lunch run to the Cabana On The River Restaurant, wasn’t even close to enough to dampen the vibe in the room.

Disturbing Number of Missouri Kids Have Recently Gone Missing
I'm not certain why there appears to be a sudden uptick of Missouri kids that have gone missing, but it's certainly a disturbing turn of events. I frequently share updates on Missouri kids who's families do not know their whereabouts in the hopes that by getting their information out there quickly will increase the chance that they will return home safely. That's why I check the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children often to keep track of how Missouri kids are doing. I was in a bit of disbelief when I saw that there are a half-dozen Missouri children who have been reported missing in just the past 3 or 4 weeks. The names of each of these kids is linked to more detailed information about the last time they were seen and where they are from.

"One of the candidates that was running for jailer down there, he called the hotline, our attorneys got it, and that's how it started," Rich Ferretti, commissioner of the attorney general's office's Department of Criminal Investigations, said in a July interview. "We ran with it." ...

But now he’s on a path to change that as he introduces Burks Spring Bourbon — bottled in Crestwood — and shares his family’s unique story behind it. “When I retired, someone told me I should ‘get back into’ the bourbon business …” Burks says, in order to follow in the footsteps of his great-great-great-grandfather, George Richard Burks.
