There really is plenty to see and do
I recently received a letter from an anonymous community member expressing that there is a lack of activities and events in our community. While I appreciate this citizen’s concern, I wish they would have let me know who they were so I could have had this conversation with them, as well as maybe I could have a better understanding as to what type of entertainment they were looking for. I could have also sent them some literature about the events going on. It is hard to solve a problem if you don’t know who to solve it for. However, I do want to take this opportunity to address the concerns I received and share some information about what the city has to offer and what is planned.
Veterans Affairs Commission to meet
The next scheduled meeting of the Lee County Commission of Veterans Affairs will be on at noon on Tuesday, July 16, at the American Legion, 727 Main St. in Keokuk.
