Monday training camp notebook: Nick Bolton content to play out final year of his contract
Linebacker Nick Bolton is back at training camp in St. Joseph, beginning what will be the fourth and final year of his rookie contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Time flies when you’re having fun — and the former 2021 second-rounder out of the University of Missouri has had a lot of it. During his rookie season, Bolton learned under the tutelage of former MIKE linebacker Anthony Hitchens.
Chris Jones: Chiefs in pursuit of history-making three-peat
Star defensive tackle Chris Jones made it clear that the Kansas City Chiefs are aiming to make history by becoming the first NFL team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. "When a lot of players retire, they always say that they want to leave the game better than they started," Jones said Sunday, according to NFL.com's Michael Baca. "If we can get this three-peat and continue to adding legacy to the Kansas City Chiefs, I think that would be a huge accomplishment, not only for us but for the NFL."

Hy-Vee to host event for small-business owners in Kansas City in September
Hy-Vee Inc. announced that it will host the OpportUNITY Inclusive Business Summit in Kansas City in September. The event aims to provide small business owners with learning opportunities and resources from Hy-Vee and other local business leaders. The summit, which is free and open to the public, will be held Sept.12 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The event will include a live pitch competition for minority- and women-owned businesses, from which 15 finalists will be selected to compete for up to $50,000 in cash investments from Hy-Vee.
