Free Summer Meals for Kids and Teens
The Town of Amherst is pleased to share that free summer meals are being offered for kids and teens, ages 18 and under, through the Summer Eats program. This program is sponsored by UMass Amherst Dining and will run on all weekdays at locations across town through Friday, August 23. No identification or registration is required, but kids and teens must be present to receive a meal and are required to eat on site.

Mount Holyoke College congratulates our recipients, alternates and finalists of the 2023-24 fellowship application cycles. Fellowships at Mount Holyoke is excited to announce our recipients, alternates and finalists for the 2023-2024 application cycle! Fifty-eight applicants expended enormous effort over several months while working to achieve their goals. In total, they submitted 66 applications to 28 countries. All participants expended tremendous effort in this highly competitive cycle, so we have included the names of the alternates, finalists and semi finalists along with those of the recipients to highlight their tremendous accomplishments in advancing through these competitions.

Institute of Diversity Sciences Announces 2024-25 Faculty and Student Sloan Fellows
Researchers in computer science and engineering at UMass Amherst and UMass Boston have teamed up to help diversify STEM culture across the UMass system with help from a $499,972 grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The team, called the Sloan Fellows Program, is led by the Institute of Diversity Sciences (IDS) at UMass Amherst and recently selected its second cohort of 12 faculty mentors and 18 undergraduate students.
