Arraignment held for Holyoke murder suspect
HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A Chicopee man is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to murder charges Tuesday morning. Luis Rodriguez, 19, was arrested on July 9 after 38-year-old Dexter Ortiz of Holyoke was shot on West Street. When officers arrived, they found Ortiz shot and two other people with non-life threatening injuries. All of them were taken to Baystate Medical Center, but Ortiz later died.

Free Summer Meals for Kids and Teens
The Town of Amherst is pleased to share that free summer meals are being offered for kids and teens, ages 18 and under, through the Summer Eats program. This program is sponsored by UMass Amherst Dining and will run on all weekdays at locations across town through Friday, August 23. No identification or registration is required, but kids and teens must be present to receive a meal and are required to eat on site.
