If you frequent the Leesburg Public Library, you may spot a familiar face while watching "Jeopardy!" next Thursday. Adult Services Librarian Robert Voyles will appear on the show on July 11. Thank you to Pam Hester at the city of Leesburg for providing the news via press release about Voyles.
The Daily Commercial had already spoken to Voyles and will interview the buzzed-about quiz show contestant on Monday. First, here are some crucial tidbits from the city as an appetizer.
What was it like to meet host and record-setting champion Ken Jennings? âPeople say never meet your hero, but Iâm so happy to have met one of mine. He is one of the funniest people Iâve ever met and really seems to live for what he does.â
His favorite part of the experience on âJeopardy!â? âThe atmosphere of a bunch of âJeopardy!â nerds talking about the live show while it was going on and getting to meet new people was really cool.â
His advice to anyone who may be thinking about auditioning for âJeopardy!â? âI would just tell them to try out. There is more to it than knowing information, facts and trivia. I think people do it for the experience and Iâm glad I did.â
