Local senators praise Cleveland-Cliffs plant announcement
WEIRTON, WV — With Monday's announcement by Cleveland-Cliffs that it will invest $150 million in a new electrical distribution transformer production plant, many local lawmakers believe it is a benefit. Ohio U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown said the more than 600 jobs expected to be created, could help supplement some of the ones that were lost when the plant idled, but ultimately, it's up to Cleveland-Cliffs and United Steelworkers.
