Shooting suspect convicted
Kian Deater, 21, of Bethlehem, has been convicted of numerous crimes related to a shooting incident in Catasauqua on Father’s Day 2022. Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan in a statement said around 6:45 p.m. on June 19 of that year, police responded to reports of shots fired at the playground on American Street. Deater was observed on surveillance footage firing at a car near the basketball court. People were using the court at the time, and there were adults and children in the park. Deater also fired at people as they fled.
Woman dead after falling from golf cart in Monroe County
A West Virginia woman died Friday after she was injured when she fell out of a golf cart about a week earlier in Monroe County. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A.
