30 Lobo Cross Country / Track & Field alumni have reached the world’s biggest stage in the Olympic games dating back to 1960, with at least four Lobo alumni competing in each of the last three Olympics held (Paris 2024, Tokyo 2021, Rio De Janeiro 2016) and at least one former Lobo medaling in each of the last two. LCFD Accepting Applications for Fire Cadets
The Las Cruces Fire Department is now accepting applications for its next training academy that’s set to begin in February 2025. The fire academy will begin Feb. 24, 2025. If enough qualified applicants are received, the pool of candidates may be used to fill a second fire academy that’s tentatively set to begin in July 2025. Each fire academy could have as many as 20 Fire Cadets in each class.

The 24th annual Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners Annual Juried Art Show opens this weekend with a special demonstration from juror John Cogan.
