National Weather Service: Rockford area flood advisory, watch in effect through Monday
Rockford's Keith Creek corridor and other parts of the city experienced flash flooding during heavy rains late Saturday and early Sunday. According to the National Weather Service four to seven inches of rain fell over the area causing widespread flooding across the region including areas in Rockford, Belvidere, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Marengo, Cherry Valley, Winnebago, Davis Junction, New Milford, Garden Prairie and Seward.
