TDOT: I-640 fully opens in Knox County
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced that I-640 in Knox County is now fully open to three lanes in each direction. TDOT previously said it aimed to finish construction on the road by Aug. 31. The highway has been under heavy construction since 2022, as part of the second phase of a road revitalization project in East Tennessee.
