Frustrations grow as floodwaters cut off parts of Miccosukee Greenway months after Tallahassee storms
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - For more than 20 years, the Miccosukee Greenway has been a go-to spot for joggers, cyclists and outdoors enthusiasts. Jerry McDaniel, the president of the Gulf Winds Track Club, is a frequent visitor. He can often be seen running and biking along a stretch of the trail, but lately, his route has been cut off. Floodwaters from storms in April have taken over a portion of the greenway, making the section starting at Fleischman Road inaccessible from the rest.

LCSO: Man killed in hit-and-run Thursday morning on Bannerman Road
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A man was killed in a hit-and-run early Thursday morning on Bannerman Road, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrived on scene in the area of Bannerman Road and Blue Smoke Drive after a call came in regarding the incident around 8 a.m. Thursday. A man was found on the side of the road once deputies arrived, according to LCSO.
