Missing Middle Housing Design Competition Launches in Fargo
Like many cities, Fargo faces a growing population of aging adults burdened by their current homes, with few options for more suitable housing. Many of Fargo’s older adults live in homes that are too large, too demanding to maintain, or simply unsafe for aging. A series of sessions in Fargo in 2023 identified a need for age-friendly housing in the area, particularly for those who have financial limitations or are disadvantaged by past inequities.
Hope Inc hosts the Navy in sled hockey showdown
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Hope Inc. hosted the United States Navy for a sled hockey event Wednesday night as part of Fargo Navy Week. While both teams enjoyed the event, the Hope Inc. athletes were able to win all the matchups, defending their home ice against the visiting sailors. Participating members of the Navy were complimentary of the athletes they faced on the ice.
“SOMETHING ROTTEN” MUSICAL COMING TO PUPOSKY
(Puposky, MN) — The Wild Rose Women’s Theater Collective in Puposky will be performing the PG-13 musical “Something Rotten” starting this Thursday. The musical follows the siblings Nick and Nigelina as they set out to write the world’s first musical in the 1590’s. Tickets are being sold at McKenzie Place in Bemidji from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for youths aged 13 – 18. All tickets must be bought in advance since no tickets will be sold at the door. The performances will be on July 25th, 26th, 27th, and 29th at 7:30 p.m. and on July 28th at 3:00 p.m. The theater is located at 24011 Hwy. 89 NW, Puposky, MN 56667.
