In the Wolverines' 15th and final game, a 34-13 win over No. 2 Washington, Michigan's defense allowed just one touchdown and forced two turnovers in 13 Washington drives. Eventual top-10 NFL Draft pick Michael Penix Jr. was held to his fewest yards per attempt, worst passer rating and lowest completion percentage in 27 starts at Washington. Michigan produced pressure in the backfield, stuck to its assignments in coverage and bruised the 14-0 Huskies in a deflated effort.

UM alumni association returns with author’s talk on disinformation
The Toledo branch of the University of Michigan alumni association hosted its first major event in years this week, as roughly 80 people showed up to hear UM law professor Barbara McQuade talk about her new book, Attack From Within: How Disinformation is Sabotaging America. As she began speaking Tuesday at the Maumee branch of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, Ms. McQuade noticed a man in the front row wearing an Ohio State University shirt. “This shows something right in society,” she said while shaking his hand. “We can have rivalries, we can have friendly rivalries, but we don’t need to be enemies. We can root for Ohio State or we can be right and root for Michigan.” The crowd laughed, but she explained that she was being serious, going on to express concern about growing animosity across partisan lines and how that has led to the erosion of public trust.
