Humidity slowly lowers with small rain chances
Wednesday is a transitional day for us in central Indiana as we are moving away from the high heat, humidity and rain chances. We are still starting the day very muggy and we keep a few rain chances in play. However, a passing cold front sends dew point temperatures dropping through the day and the rain chances will be rather minimal compared to the past several days.
Alabama Man Sentenced to 57 Months for Arson in Indiana, Family Home and Pets Lost in Deliberate Blaze
An Alabama man has been sentenced to nearly five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to arson for setting his father's house on fire in Connersville, Indiana, resulting in the death of the family's dog and cat. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Indiana reported that 34-year-old Tommy Lee Harrison Sr. carried out the attack after traveling from his home in Birmingham, Alabama. Harrison will also face two years of supervised release following his 57-month incarceration.

Ivy Tech is offering free Certified Clinical Medical Assisting training in Bedford
BEDFORD – Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus is offering a free Certified Clinical Medical Assisting (CCMA) training course. The 16-week class will be held July 23 through October 31 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the North Lawrence Career Center in Bedford. A grant from IU Health will pay for the training course and certification exam.
