Special teams help Lions rally past Pike Road in season opener
WETUMPKA -- Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Not once, not twice, but three times Donovan Brown turned special teams miscues into good fortune for the Prattville Lions, who rallied late to defeat Pike Road 41-37 in a sloppily played season opener on Thursday night.
Prattville Council hires Amy Hilliard as Economic Developer for City
The Prattville City Council, with a 4-2 vote Tuesday, agreed to hire Dr. Amy Hilliard as the new Economic Developer for the City. Hilliard secured the position as the economic development director and department head for the newly created director position. Hilliard was in a similar position several years ago with the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce before leaving for a position in Auburn. Her name at that time was Amy Brabham.

Selma man fulfills dream of enlisting in Army at 39
