Many people have made the move to Delaware in recent years, with plenty more to come, and a popular question when house hunting is: What area should I move to?

While various factors like accessibility, school districts and recreational offerings play a big part in where you choose to settle down, how friendly a place is can make or break your experience. To give you a head start, three Delaware cities made it on a recent list of the most welcoming towns in the United States.

    Delaware’s most welcoming towns

A survey from ElectricityPrices.com , an energy bill comparison company, asked 3,700 travelers to reveal the most welcoming destinations in the country for out-of-towners. Respondents shared their thoughts about which areas are known for friendly faces and unforgettable hospitality, resulting in a list of the top 150 most welcoming towns for newcomers.

The highest-ranking town for Delaware is Milton at No. 6. Milton’s strong sense of community and history propelled it to the near top of the list, with hospitable residents and local events like Milton Theatre performances and the Broadkill River Canoe and Kayak Race adding extra charm.

Lewes clocks in at No. 12, with its rich history and beautiful beaches as notable features.
