Lewis County resident arrested for alleged intoxicated driving in Croghan, Troopers say
CROGHAN- A local resident is accused of intoxicated driving in Lewis County, authorities say. Krista M. Clemons, 39, of Castorland, NY was arrested early Thursday by the New York State Police (Lowville). Clemons is formally charged with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC).

Lewis County man dies after being shot with own gun in softball game dispute
ROME, New York (WWNY) - A Lewis County man is dead after he was allegedly shot with his own firearm during a dispute after a softball game in Rome, N.Y., over the weekend. Rome city police say 34-year-old Theodore Chrystie of Greig got into an argument with members of the opposing team around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday.

ROME- A local man from the North Country has died from a gunshot wound suffered in an altercation during a slow-pitch softball tournament in Oneida County. On Tuesday, medical personnel at a local hospital officially pronounced Theodore Chrystie, 34, of Greig, NY, deceased. The incident occurred on Sunday in Rome, NY’s Haselton-Wright Park.
