    One person dead following ATV crash in West Virginia

    CAMDEN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man is dead following an ATV crash in West Virginia.

    According to the West Virginia State Police, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Cpl. M. S. Clark responded to a one-vehicle ATV/Side by Side crash near 4000 Fink Creek Road in Lewis County.

    The victim, James Gum, was operating a Honda Pioneer 1000 with his son on the family farm.

    The victim lost control and ran over an embankment where both men were ejected from the vehicle.

    James Gum, 79 of Camden, was pronounced dead on scene while his son was transported to Stonewall Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    The status of this investigation remains active and ongoing.
