Humid with a few more showers or thunderstorms today, but improvement for the weekend
Unsettled weather will continue today in a warm and humid air mass. We’ll see sun mixing with clouds, highs in the mid 80s, and a few spotty shower or thunderstorms. Not everyone will see rain today, but if you do, it could fall heavy at times. There is also a low threat of strong wind in any thunderstorm this afternoon and evening.

GREENVILLE — The Greenville Municipal Concert Band will once again present a free concert at the Marling Band Shell in the Greenville Park this Sunday, July 7, 7 p.m. The concerts are an excellent way to get out and enjoy the park and family while listening to great music.

Captains fall to Dragons, 6-5, in 10 innings
Visiting Dayton scored all of its runs in the ninth and 10th innings, then held off a Captains’ rally in the bottom of the 10th to win, 6-5, on July 4 at Classic Park. Lake County (47-31) took a 3-0 lead in the eighth inning on an RBI double by Jose Devers and a two-run home run by Maick Collado.
