Lewisburg, Pa. — A Michigan woman came to the Lewisburg Walmart store dressed as an employee and stole more than $1,700 of merchandise, police said.

Toni Ashanay Marshall, 27, of Detroit, went to the store on May 22 dressed in a blue jacket that said "Walmart" on it and carrying a Walmart tote bag, according to Trp. Paul Materne of state police at Milton. Materne said Marshall has been traced to an organized theft ring that spans from Pennsylvania to Texas.

Marshall completed two fraudulent Spark online order transactions and then went to an associate to advise them of her order. Marshall produced what appeared to be the order information on her cell phone, and the associate gave her the items listed in the order. The order included an Apple iPad, two Apple watches, Apple AirPods Pro, and a Sony Playstation 5, according to the affidavit.

Marshall then left the store in a white Dodge Durango with a Michgian license plate.

Marshall also was involved in other recent thefts in Pennsylvania, and was apprehended last month by state police at Carlisle for an alleged theft at a store in Shippensburg Township. Court records show she was incarcerated in Cumberland County with bail set at $49,000.

In Union County, police charged Marshall with felony counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed at the office of District Judge Jeffrey A. Rowe in Lewisburg, who set bail at $1,700. Marshall remains incarcerated.
