Lewisburg, Pa. — An inmate in Union County was charged for concealing Suboxone while he was incarcerated, police say.

A correctional officer at Union County Prison found the Suboxone on March 26 while doing a search on 22-year-old Coal Nevin Inch. The officer noticed there was a rip in the waistband of Inch's shorts. When he took a closer look, the officer found a small, plastic Ziploc bag inside the rip that contained an orange pill that he suspected was Suboxone, according to the affidavit.

Another correctional officer was searching Inch's cell when he found half of a white pill that was wrapped in a toilet paper roll. The officer believed the pill was Trazodone.

Patrolman Gary V. Heckman of Buffalo Regional Valley Police Department responded to the scene and found out through the warden that Inch was not prescribed Suboxone or Trazodone, according to the affidavit. Inch declined to be interviewed by police.

A forensic laboratory review of the pills determined that the orange pill was Suboxone. Police filed a felony possession of contraband charge and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

District Judge Jeffrey A. Rowe set bail at $5,000.
