Celebrate West Virginia’s birthday in Downtown Lewisburg

LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) — Downtown Lewisburg will celebrate West Virginia’s birthday, its diversity, and its famous cuisine on June 20 and 22, 2024.

Come to the Green Space on Thursday, June 20, 2024 for a community gathering to celebrate everyone that makes our state great. Listen to remarks from Mayor Beverly White, a musical presentation featuring the daughter of one of the area’s beloved merchants, and enjoy a free West Virginia Day cookie.

On Saturday, June 22, compete in the pepperoni roll contest because in West Virginia, “this is how we roll!” Those who attend the free event will receive a ballot to cast for the People’s Choice award, and also be able to hear the sounds of Richard Hefner and the Black Mountain Bluegrass Boys. Visit the Briergarten and grab a drink ahead of the awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Information regarding registration and rules can be found here .
