George Walton Lee, Jr.

George Walton Lee, Jr., 88, SFC retired, passed away on July 14, 2024, at CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

He was born December 11, 1935, in Lewisburg and was the son of the late George W. and Lillian Wade Lee, Sr.

George was a retired Sergeant First Class from the U. S. Army. He was a member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church and a member of the Church’s Men Choir. He was also a Mason with the King Hiram Masonic Lodge # 7.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Jo Jones.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Regina Lee and Tony Lee; four grandchildren; nieces and nephew, Clara Leanne Foote, Denise White, Robyn Ellis, and George Foote.

Funeral services are scheduled for August 1, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Gene Fullen officiating. Military graveside rites will be August 2, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, 130 Academy Dr., Dunbar, WV 25064.

The family will receive family and friends from 12 p.m. until time of services on August 1, 2024, at the funeral home.
