Lima Farmers Market host a Health and Nutrition day
LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - The Lima Farmers Market promotes health through information and produce. Saturday was Health and Nutrition Day at the market. The University of Northwestern Ohio medical assistant students were on hand to do blood pressure screenings and talk about heart health. WIC was there to promote the benefits of breastfeeding, and WOCAP was talking about their head start program. Besides the information, people had a lot of homemade items to choose from and a lot of healthy food coming from area farms.
