Ballet Arkansas’ ‘Bold New Moves’ Series Comes to Argenta
Dance enthusiasts are in for an artistic treat this September as Ballet Arkansas presents “Bold New Moves,” a series of free public performances at Argenta Plaza. Set to take place Sept. 13-15, the event will be Ballet Arkansas’ first time to take the stage this season and will feature debut works by next-gen choreographers. With three performances of world premieres from the company artists of Ballet Arkansas, unique musical compositions and an insightful Q&A, the showcase will be a highlight of this season’s cultural calendar.
Storm damage keeps Rogers school closed
Greer Lingle Middle School students will start the school year elsewhere after their building was heavily damaged by the Memorial Day weekend storms, Rogers School District spokesperson Jason Ivester told Axios.State of play: About 700 students in grades 6-8 will go to school in mobile classrooms on the west side of the Rogers New Technology High School campus for the school year.Zoom out: The district was able to make repairs to schools like Frank Tillery and Westside elementaries in time for classes. Walton-led nonprofit spends $10 million for 11 acres in Bentonville
A limited liability company led by philanthropist Alice Walton, Richard Hosley, and Scott Eccleston recently paid $10 million for 2812 E. Central Ave. in Bentonville.
