    UPDATE: Oct. 3 at 11 a.m.

The infant that was hospitalized and in critical condition due to injuries sustained from "physical abuse," has died, according to the Fayette County Coroner's Office.

The cause of death for the infant, identified by the coroner as 3-month-old Greyson Torres, has been listed by the office as "multiple blunt force traumatic injuries due to alleged criminal abuse."

Amancio Torres-Trevino Jr. and Kaela Walker were arrested on Tuesday and charged with criminal abuse. Further, each has been charged with an additional criminal abuse charge, according to court records.

In total, the bond for both Torres-Trevino and Walker has been set at $150,000 each full cash.

Their next court appearance is set for Monday, Oct. 7.

    Original Story:

Two people have been arrested by Lexington police on Tuesday and charged with criminal abuse after a citation reported that an infant is in critical condition due to injuries sustained from "physical abuse."

According to the citation, Amancio Torres-Trevino Jr. was charged with first-degree child 12 or under criminal abuse after he allegedly "intentionally physically abused the victim," resulting in serious internal injuries.

Kaela Walker was also arrested and charged in connection to the crime. Relatives of Walker told LEX 18 that she is the child's mother.

The citation added that the infant remains in critical condition "due to the injuries sustained as a result of the physical abuse."

This damn state needs to make these kind of charges severe. And CPS is a bad joke. Go sit at a desk and get paid. I've seen people that have been persecuted and CPS drag them thru the mud because wild teenagers wanted to do drugs, drink and lay up with men. They didn't want to abide by rules so they lied to CPS. They, CPS, needs to step up and protect babies and small children. Every state in this country needs to strengthen laws governing child abuse and any homicide regarding a child. No pass go.
