The DNC roll call included a music playlist. What song was played for Kentucky?

The DJ at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago played special songs representing each state during Tuesday night’s roll call, according to National Public Radio .

The song choice for Kentucky delegates was Jack Harlow’s hit, “First Class.” Harlow is a Kentucky native, born in Louisville and raised in Shelbyville.

Each state and territory was given the floor to formally announce how their state’s delegates voted in officially selecting Kamala Harris as the presidential nominee. The “walk-up song” — in Kentucky’s case, “First Class” — was played by DJ Cassidy before the announcement of their votes.

First Class debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart when it was released in 2022, according to Billboard. The song interpolates Fergie’s hit “Glamorous” and features Grammy Award winning artist Ludacris.

Harlow wasn’t present to perform the song, but one popular rapper did make an appearance during his home state’s turn in the roll call. Lil Jon sang his well-played and popular track, “Turn Down for What,” while expressing support for Kamala Harris.
