July 15th Storms Set New Record For Most Tornadoes in One Day
We all knew as it was happening that the storms on July 15th were not your typical, everyday storm system. The derecho brought not one, not two, but THIRTY ONE tornadoes in the NWS Chicago office’s coverage area, which is a new record.
