LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A judge has unsealed the divorce case of former Gov. Matt Bevin, which was previously closed in May.

The unsealing came two months after a Jefferson County judge filed an order barring Bevin from his home unless his estranged wife, Glenna Bevin, gave him express permission.

Judge Angela Johnson ruled that public access to the case is crucial, denying former Gov. Bevin’s request to keep it private.

Johnson stressed the importance of transparency, noting that the public is already aware of the divorce case.

Allegations of the divorce from media reports include Bevin’s unannounced visits to the home, which he claims were to see his children.
